Desert Boots Print E-mail

The menswear-inspired boot adds a rugged look to any outfit. You might be familiar with the original Clarks desert boot, designed in 1949 by Nathan Clark. The simple, durable boots were worn by British Army soldiers in Egypt during World War II, and gained popularity with the mods of the 1960s. Today, desert boots are worn by celebrities and fashionistas alike, and lend a laid back look to outfits. Wear them with jeans or a flirty dress when the weather heats up for an unexpectedly sophisticated touch. Typically found in neutral shades of khaki, brown, and taupe, one of my favourite picks is the sexy ETC desert boot, which comes in a gorgeous taupe colour which will go with absolutely everything and a sexy stiletto heel.

My preference for comfort is the wedge heel, but as you can see they are also brilliant with a stacked heel. Suede means these laced up beauties will be uber comfortable, and who can complain about that? My advice is to wear them with a mini dress, skirt or shorts. With a bit of leg showing you will add an essential touch of femininity to an otherwise boyish look.

Military boots... Bigger than ever Print E-mail

Buy a pair of combat boots today whilst there is 30% off all boots purchased online!

The return of grunge - style-wise, that is - has brought around the return of combat boots. No longer are they just for soldiers or so-called "punks". What once was a form of boots used by soldiers has now transformed into a highly fashionable clothing accessory. Combat boots have come a long way since their creation in the 1960's. But fashion itself is constantly changing and evolving, and because of this combat boots are one of many new trends of fashion. These kinds of boots were originally created for soldiers in the 1960's by the US Government during the Vietnam War. At that time they were only distributed and worn by soldiers and were not available to the general public.

Regardless of whether you are looking for combat boots for war or simply to wear around the town, the evolution of these boots has been remarkable. Combat boots have greatly evolved from their humble origins as footwear for soldiers, to become a hot commodity for those who love their fashion to have a bit of an edge. From their original purpose of comfort, stability and durability - to the new fashion forward styles available; combat boots have transformed over time to hit the fashion industry hard, once again.

classic combats...

Crossfire by Therapy are perfect if you're looking for a pair of traditional combat boots. These trendy flat lace-up ankle boot with laces and vamp detailing. Forget constantly lacing them up, with a zip these boots are quick and easy to put on. The brush detail colour gives them a cool, worn-in look. Just $59.95, Crossfire are available in black brush and chocolate brush.

For a pair of luxurious combat boots try Marty by Minki. These boots have leather upper and lining and would look great with any outfit this season that you want to give a tougher edge. They are lace up with a round-toe boot. $149.95 and available in black.

The most on-trend pair of boots this winter and my personal favourite are Shooter by Therapy in Chamois. Shooters is a combat/military style boot with front lacing and toe cap detail and are definitely this Winter's hottest style! For the great price of $59.95, Shooter also come in black.

Over the Knee Boots Print E-mail

are the hottest trend this winter. As is so often the case,

the key to executing this look lies in the styling.

An OTK boot obviously makes a bold statement, so try to tone down the boot's sexiness with more modest pieces. (Essentially, you want to avoid any outfit that makes you look like you're channelling Vivian in Pretty Woman!) Easily autumn/winter 2009-10's sexiest boot when worn with the season's shorter mini-dresses, skirts and shorts.

Buy your favourite pair online by the 30th of June and get free shipping!!!

Casual pirate style....

Wear your OTKs loose and baggy - pirate-style, as seen on all the catwalks! Peri by Isabella Brown is a great example, featuring a pirate style lace up at the back of the knee. Peri are also highly versatile, as the cuff can be worn up as an over the knee boot or turned down so it sits under the knee - the choice is yours. Milson by I love Billy – are another great flat style OTK with a wooden soul. Just $99.95, available in black.

Sexy spray on….

If you’re wearing spray on OTKs, keep the hemlines below the top of the boot to avoid a "night walker" look. Dorethea by Bonbons are perfect for this look, featuring 10.5 cm stiletto platforms, they pull on for an extra snug fit. Available in black & black patent for $139.95.

Classic comfort....

If you’re a bit nervous about going the whole way over the knee then Sing by Isabella Brown is the boot for you. This boot length is awesome, it sits on the knee and the back is just below the knee for comfort. A must have! Available in black and brown suede for just $69.95.

Sleek pumps - Punk by London Rebel Print E-mail

Punk by London Rebel– are a timeless classic that you’ll love forever! Step out in the city with an amazing pair of sleek pumps.

A platform at an everyday height that is super comfortable but dressy enough to go straight from the office to the club. I love platforms as they give you an extra half an inch of leg without looking like your wearing sky high heels.

Punk comes in four great versions, black and mud coloured patent, black suede and black snakeskin. My personal pick is snakeskin – any animal print is hot right now and they add a bit of flare to my office wear.
